Our Story
GoodBound started with a simple belief: tea and cookies belong together, crafted with each other in mind. From the very beginning, we’ve been focused on creating the perfect pairing: thoughtfully made cookies that complement the depth, aroma, and character of a great cup of tea.
Founded just outside New York City in the Lower Hudson Valley, GoodBound is built on the idea that you can taste the difference when food is made thoughtfully, from the ingredients we choose to the intention behind every batch. That means selecting high-quality ingredients, working with trusted suppliers, and keeping things honest and uncomplicated. Like the bees we admire, we don’t cut corners, overhype, or chase trends. Instead, we make cookies and tea blends that taste incredible and feel right, because attention to detail makes a difference.
Fittingly, both tea and cookies first took root in the U.S. in what is now the Hudson Valley region—early Dutch traders brought tea into the colonies through Manhattan, and the word “cookie” itself likely comes from the Dutch koekje. You could say tea and cookies have always belonged here together.
Our founder grew up inspired by food pioneers like W.K. Kellogg and C.W. Post, whose innovations made wholesome, accessible foods a part of daily life. From Battle Creek, Michigan, where they redefined food production, to New York's Hudson Valley, where we carry that spirit forward, their work reshaped how people think about what they eat. At GoodBound, we share that commitment—crafting simple, delicious, and well-made treats that fit seamlessly into everyday moments.
Just like our friends in the hive, we believe that small acts, done with care, can lead to something truly good.
Tea and cookies should be easy. Good should be simple. And every sip and bite should be bound to be good.
